Homemade sponge cake! Can we say simple? It actually seems difficult, but if you apply it step by step, it’s a very simple cake recipe. It’s really harder otherwise. It’s always good to go systemically. You can easily make such recipes using cake molds. There are other ways, but this recipe is enough for what I wrote below.

Ingredients for Homemade Sponge Cake:
- 2 + ½ (2 whole 1 half) cups wheat flour (250g)
- 2/3 cup cornstarch (60g)
- 10 eggs (at room temperature)
- 2 + 1/2 (Half) Cup Granulated Sugar
- 3 Tbsp Water
- 2 packets of sugary vanillin
How to make easy cake?
- Set the oven to 170°C and heat.
- Separate the white and yellow parts of your eggs.
- Stir the egg whites first slowly then on a high setting. (you don’t have to use a food processor because you can also do it with your hand. Add half the sugar on top. (Do not pour immediately while adding the sugar, add slowly.) Don’t stir anymore when it starts to bubble a bit. If you mix too much, the dough will not swell.
- Whisk in the egg yolks. Add the remaining sugar and continue whisking until the sugar is completely dissolved. Than, add 2 packets of sugar vanillin and water, whisk for a while longer.
- Add the flour and starch to another bowl.
- Blend the starch and flour. Next, add the flour and starch to the egg yolk mixture with any spoonful. Then pour all the ingredients into the container where the egg white is.
- Mix slowly with anything. But be careful, the air in the dough can go. Perform this process slowly.
- Transfer all the mixture to your cake mold. Cook until 35-40 minutes. Remember that each oven cooking time differs because your dough can burn! 😀
- Dip a toothpick or a trash skewer to see if it’s cooked. If it comes out clean; it’s cooked.
- Finally, if you want to make cocoa cake; (50 grams) you can add cocoa to the ingredients Me so much. Shift’s over, this kid’s gone! 😊
